The Mosaic Story: A brief history of our brief history
In August of 2007, my wife, Diane, and I met in our living room with three other couples to discuss the idea of planting Mosaic Church. During those first few meetings we discussed starting a church:
In just a few years Mosaic has grown from eight people meeting in my house to an exciting, thriving community of worshippers celebrating Jesus every weekend. God has been amazing us on this journey, and we are excited to see all He has in store for us.
Mosaic is a Non-Denominational Christian Church.
Our weekend services will be energetic, informal, engaging, and fun. Our teaching will be Bible-based and practical.
Pretending to be someone we’re not on Sunday morning doesn’t do anybody any good. We are committed to helping people live a real faith in real life. You could say that we are more concerned about what the Bible says about life Monday through Saturday than one hour on Sunday morning.
We have found that when a person begins a relationship with Jesus they begin to realize the world doesn't revolve around them. We understand that one reason we exist is to serve the world.
We have found the most effective evangelism happens through people inviting friends and family. (Proverbs 11:30; John 1:43-45; John 4:28-30).
Through small groups, personal Bible reading, service, and worship we will grow in relationship with Jesus and one another.
Facilities will never keep us from growing. We will never get emotionally attached to buildings so that it keeps from doing what we feel God is calling us to do.
We will always play to advance and we will not play to not lose.
We will function as a church of 1,000 now. (Then a church of 5,000 when we reach 1,000, and so on).
A simple presentation of the gospel done in creative ways will change lives. We’re not interested in sending people to Hell, but in helping them find their way to Heaven.
By identifying and training emerging leaders who are fully committed to Christ we will multiply our efforts throughout Northern Colorado and pass the baton of the Gospel to the next generation. (2 Timothy 2:2; 1 Timothy 3:1; Titus 1:5-9; Psalm 78:6-7).
